This policy covers the ZocialViewer — Social Comment Exporter Chrome extension and the ZocialViewer web service at zocialviewer.com.
What the extension does
The extension lets a signed-in user export the publicly visible comments of a social media post they choose (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, Threads, Lemon8) to a CSV or JSON file. It does not post, comment, follow, or take any action on the user's social accounts.
Information we collect
- Account email — used to identify your ZocialViewer account so exports can be attributed to you.
- Authentication token — an access token issued after you sign in, stored locally in the browser (
chrome.storage.local) so you stay signed in. It is not shared with anyone. - The URL you choose to export — sent to zocialviewer.com to fetch that post's comments and return your file.
The extension does not collect your browsing history, location, keystrokes, or activity on other sites. It reads the current tab's URL only when you choose to export it.
Exported comments
Comments are public data on the post you select. They are fetched on demand to build the file you download. We do not sell this data.
How we use information
Solely to authenticate you and to create and deliver the exports you request. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness.
Payments
Any purchases are processed on zocialviewer.com by Stripe. The extension does not collect or store payment details.
Data retention & deletion
Your exports and account are stored in your ZocialViewer account until you delete them. To delete your account and associated data, contact support@zocialviewer.com. Signing out of the extension removes the locally stored token.
