How to Check Someone’s TikTok Without Following Them
You want to see their videos, but following them says too much. Here is how to keep an eye on any public TikTok account with zero connection.
Following someone on TikTok is a statement. They get a notification, you show up in their follower list, and the algorithm starts connecting your accounts. Sometimes you just want to see — an ex, a coworker, a competitor, someone you're curious about — without announcing it.
The problem with "just don't follow"
You can visit a public profile without following, but doing it from your logged-in account still carries risk: an accidental like at 1am, an accidental follow from a mis-tap, or showing up in Profile View History if you both have it on.
